2019 Chicago Intermodal

II was told it is cheaper to move the freight OTR than rail when fuel prices are low, and that combined with the glut of trucks and drivers to address the freight that needed to be moved the past 2 years needs to stabilize as they put it, or wait for those who are not dedicated to the job to leave.

 

Yep still three day weeks on my end too. Same thing happened to me at CSX 59th.

On the subject of spottingat CN; I have a railfan buddy who works for ITS. As he put it, where else can you earn $23 an hour without a drug test. They also spot NS 47th which he says is worse.

 

csx pays 25$ hr. and those guys are still miserable. smh

 

crazy man. some guy yesterday said hes been off all week. some guys are 2 days but i think most 3. idk if ur doin local just 1 move period. its insane

 

Yeah this is ####ed, I had to go start a side job. And this stupid escrow. Dont get me started

but u know wat i dont get. slow but illinois trans line went to 79th. and elwood lot 2 row 2 was full friday.
