The part of the story thats missing, I dont believe for a second that for no reason at all they decided that have a 1000 tow bill was better than having you load and deliver.
Another story that just does not make sense right up front.
If you were running, loading and delivering on time they would not have taken the truck.
Theres nothing anyone on line can help you with at the moment. get out a piece of cardboard and a sharpie, make a sign......

I talked to a TransAm recruiter a few months ago and he had the worst attitude. They only were offering 32 cents per mile. Why, when most companies are now at least at 42-48 to start, would you go with them?

 

Because some guys don't know any better...
