I live in Reno NV area so I rented a car and brought my trucking stuff with me. They reinbursed me the cost of the flight, $300.00. I had to pay out of pocket but to me it was money well spent.

I chose to fly in. They made all the arrangements and bought the tickets. I just took the essentials and they ran me by the house a week later so i could get the rest of my stuff.

I made it to my delivery here in Rock Hill SC yesterday. Appt isn't until Monday at 11:00 . I went to the customer anyway but no one was there even though their receiving hours on the phone said they were open. Oh well, just get 34 reset in and deliver Monday. Getter done!

On the way i took the I 29 south route through that flooded area. Not a good idea the bugs were insane check out my windshield.

That’s incredible. First few times I saw a truck coming south out of that area I thought he got behind someone with an oil leak, or the road was dirty up there with the flood and after more rain it was mud splatter, or who knows what. It wasn’t until I saw one close I realized what it was. And every truck comin down that way is like that, you’d think that’d start putting a dent in the bug population. I guess just be glad you weren’t one of the first ones through when the road reopened!

Well my day is over early. Stopped at the Des Moines Loves for breakfast at Dennys and came out and had a oil puddle under my truck. Called road service and was told to stay put and take it to Freightliner in the morning. Yay salary!!
