C.R. England Settles Lawsuit Over Lease-to-Own Program

As with most Lawsuits the Lawyers are the biggest Winners, they got all or the majority of that $50k

 

It is ALWAYS a bad idea to lease from the same company you depend on for your REVENUE.

 

It's always bad to do it company that has dispatcher who controls your load assignments vs self dispatch off load board..lol

 

My husband started out in trucking with CR England. He did the lease to own program. They fired him two months before his truck would be paid off for something they told him to do! He didn't take it laying down. He went to the main office, actually got to talk to one of the big wigs, and got rehired! Apparently he impressed the guy. After his truck was paid off, he quit!

We got the notice in the mail about this suit a couple of weeks ago.

 

I’m glad to hear he got his truck. Absolutely disgusting how CR England tried to rip the rug out beneath your family. Karma comes around sooner or later. It boggles my mind they can have 100+ in orientation, week after week. Nobody does research or maybe they’re so down and out that they don’t care..

 

Those recruiters are aggressive and they get you in there as soon as possible. I went from just browsing their site to being at SLC in under like 2 weeks. At the school they'll continue lying to you too.

 

This may very well be the ONLY time I've ever heard of anyone actually obtaining the truck at CR.... EVER. And I've been reading this forum for years.

 

My husband only had his CDL for a few months and had been driving for a local company. He started looking into OTR and got recruited by them. So he was very new to the biz. Needless to say he would not recommend this company to anyone!
