It's not for trucking. Atlanta has one of the worst four wheeler hell there is downtown core. DC and Houston etc are pretty bad sometimes but Atlanta is a whole another bad. Just don\t take your truck through downtown. Go around it. Certain times of day or night is not that hard to bypass it.
As far as the video all the way to 3:55 is blather. You have the source video of the wreck itself, it's very clear that the driver of the 18 wheeler never slowed for a moment or take any evading at all. Just straight in kerchunk cruise control. So easy. What a mess. Could be anything from sleepy at the wheel to playing on tetris etc.
Is I-75 GA really dangerous?

He was doing something he shouldn't and people paid the price for it. driving, in general, is serious business driving a tractor-trailer is a very serious business. People think its a game but people never take it seriously why there are people dying because of drunk drivers, distracted drivers every year. It is not a game when you have to stand before a judge and a jury.

According to the video it happened at mm 262. That’s north of Atlanta at Marietta. Still a heavily traveled stretch of I75. Once again, a distracted driver.

Not sure it is still that way but it was at my school.
Here in iowa, nope. I had to take my kids out and drill them on proper passing... and how to merge on and off the freeway.
Little stuff like pick your spot and look before you are at the end of the ramp... use the run-off if needed.
Never brake before the offramp. Maintain your speed until you clear the road so you dont cause an accordian and get somebody killed a half mile back. ♥️DUNE-T Thanks this. -

I too believe ATL is bad and aggressive. Not the worse unless your there at the wrong time. Usually outside of this span it’s an accident that’s happened which is what I’ve seen every time I go through there.
