I pull sludge during that week.

It stinks and attracts the flies

In addition to the national blitzes there are state wide blitzes that aren't announced. I have been pulled in for inspection in Oklahoma during one of those, at a temporary scale and inspection site on the shoulder of a four lane highway.

I have been through many of the state wide ones, especially when they are training the new hires it seems like. They usually call them stings instead of blitzes though. lol

    Lepton1 Thanks this.

It only stings if they write you up for violations.

CO does that. UTAH has been doing it the last couple of years. Nevada was hitting it hard before I left the road for home. Kind of like PA.

Trailer is sealed completely. There's no getting away from the stinch. Except to be in front going forward. LOL

at my last employer and a couple of others before that, i worked nights. very rarely were any DOT scales open, not even the "portable" locations i'd drive past.

the only state (in my nightly routine) that MIGHT be open would be Connecticut and even that was only a "might be".
