I have done it 6 times and planning to do it again in the morning. It shows a good company you have intelligence and integrity.
Never take the drug test until you have it all in a letter and signed. They will mostly all lie. A Crete recruiter would get fired for lying. If you can stomach pplnet and short hauls, Crete will pay you what they owe you.
I didnt like working there but dont like forced dispatch and a bunk heater shutting down every time opti idle started the truck. No prepass, etc. Crete is cheap but if you play by their rules you can get a good paycheck.SilverBulletBand Thanks this. -
Here’s the problem with that:
ITS AMBIGUOUS. And designed to plant the seed of doubt in potential future employers. So which was it? Did he quit or was he dismissed from orientation? The moment a company posts an entry on your hire right like that, it’s for one purpose. And that’s to poison the well of any future employers from drinking from it. It’s a form of black listingAdieu, Western flyer, SilverBulletBand and 2 others Thank this. -

- HireRight put on my transcript that I:
“Quit or was dismissed” from an orientation I attended a few years ago. The company was annoyed by me leaving because during the orientation process the bait and switch was revealed. So I left. The company decided to put an ambiguous comment on my transcript. Quit or dismissed. So I filed an appeal with HireRight citing the ambiguity and the egregious nature of the entry.
Which was it! Did I quit or was I dismissed? Please be more specific. HireRight agreed and contacted the company, they changed it to “Quit” finally I said I was never actually an employee at the company and therefore a file about me being on HireRight for this particular company shouldn’t even exist. Again, HireRight agreed and deleted the file altogether.
This is the type of arbitrary entries that can be found on a transcript

HireRight falls under the same guidelines as the 3 major credit bureaus. It allows you to dispute any entries that may not be factual. It is your responsibility to monitor what is being said about you. This invariably affects your livelihood. Defend yourself. Clear your good name. DO NOT allow trucking companies to define you. If it’s not true then fight it. What could possibly be the argument against that?
SilverBulletBand and faux_maestro Thank this. -
Should be listening to them, and getting advice! Of course they like the company, they found a way to make it work for them. The Kool-Aid is sweet for the successful!LtlAnonymous Thanks this. -
But - thank you for pointing out that DAC/HireRight does change things when requested, and the burden of proof is on the company, and not on the Driver.
Every time I see someone talking about how some company trashed them on the DAC, its hard not to roll my eyes. First off - everything is a pulldown menu of answers, you can't just make something up and write it in there. 2nd - accidents are accidents, minor or not.
If its not true, dispute it and HireRight removes it. Its really easy. -
Western flyer Thanks this.

They grabbed that office job with both hands just to get out of it.
Success? I guess so. If you define success as living in the prairie dog farm.Last edited: Jun 17, 2019

A. I attended their orientation
And
B That I either quit or was dismissed.
If those are default options to post on a transcript then it is CLEARLY a blatant false dichotomy. I say false because a third option was also available.
The ability to not post anything at all.
By posting the “Default answer” it became clear to me that an ambiguous entry would be more ominous than posting nothing at all. They knew what they were doing. Either way I immediately nipped it in the bud. What a trucking company is NOT going to do is leave up to interpretation, events that may or may not have transpired during the orientation process. Removing any esoteric or ambiguous postings was my main objective. I achieved that only because HireRight also acknowledged the egregious nature of the entry. Even if it was facilitated by their own algorithms.Last edited: Jun 17, 2019
