Oh I agree 100%. My situation was different. I grew up on trucks. My dad owned a small fleet. By 13 I was driving a Kenworth COE around the yard, at 15 I learned how to back up the 53 ft trailer. My dad's dream was for me to take over his business. (He died of cancer before I was old enough to legally have a CDL) I joined the military and drove there. Got out but didn't have a civilian CDL. I heard of this company that had a CDL school and required a year employment, but didn't make you pay back any money. They just denied that you work for them. I got my CDL thru them and left Didn't list them as an employer. Just used my military experience.

Here you are blaming everyone else for your problems. No one is trying to trick you. It is not in the instructor's interest to sabotage the students he is paid to prepare.

Drivers have something change that we were not expecting every day.

If you are just going to quit every time things seem unfair you will soon find yourself unhireable by even the worst of companies.

Hate to say this but you really need to rethink this statement.

As for other comments, some of these newbies need to find other work because they will never make it in this industry.

I've been driving for 11 years. I still screw up backing from time to time. Of course an unfamiliar piece of equipment will take a bit to get used to. Happens to everyone.

I sometimes wonder why anyone would even consider doing it. From my understanding, they get paid less than day 1 drivers at swift.

Most bad behavior comes from insecurities. A man's spirit is free, but his pride binds him with chains of suffocation in a prison of his own insecurities.

It's normal. And as a grumpy old cuss myself, my skills never improved by having someone yell at me. I think calmly asking the a-hole when he finishes yelling at you "if I yell at you will you be able to learn Chinese faster? Tell me what to do, or not do but yelling just makes it harder."

Oh so you gonna get one of those trainers that’s been driving for 3 months to show you how it’s done. Always remember never look in the mirrors and stay in the middle lane.
