Your right it's coming. Living in a truck for 400 bucks a week is going to be the majority real soon.

have you figured out why the minimum wage is on the way to $15.00 per hr yet?

I happen to think a little more of steering wheel holder's than you and other's. as a professional driver, you should too.

Eliminate mileage and percentage base pay.

All drivers need to be paid hourly... This will stop the free unpaid time sitting getting loaded and unloaded ... Or sitting in delays, breakdowns , etc...

I'm so happy I am drop n hook now. The longest wait I ever had since owning my own truck was 10 minutes since the shipper was in the restroom.

I'm employed by a company with trailer pools too.. doesn't matter. live loads and unloads are included. the company doesn't own enough trailers to keep up with the demand. they're tied up with the dedicated customer account's. now I get to work as if I'm a owner op owning one trailer. with live loads unloads on each end.

You can accomplish the same thing by making driver log all loading and unloading time. Because when the driver run out of hours. The truck can't move, that when the trucking companies will get involved. They will be forced to get better rates per mile or detention pay or drop the customer. It's a simple thing to change in HOS rules.

Nope. They'll just send another driver to repower the load. Meanwhile you'll be sitting at truck stop with thumb up tour ### and no money in the wallet

    KB3MMX Thanks this.

    No.

Shippers & Receivers have escaped regs to long, putting the burden on Carriers.

It's time they play by the same rules.
