them thar good ole boys hated driving in snow, ice, ice fog, but we up here LOVED it, as it kept us rolling back and forth.
of course, come the good weather, they were taking all our loads back up here, but they also had to deliver, since they had sleepers, we guys up here ran with day cabs.
bit them in the rear end. cuz then, they had to dead head to pick up loads. our city drivers went and got us our loads.....lol
and funny too, when we arrived in VA, we went into a motel for our 8 hours...their city drivers got our loads too....lolAnother Canadian driver, scottied67 and Trucker Kev Paid Tourist Thank this. -

I worked for them for years. Loved that place. Treated good and made good money. Worked for them as a company driver and O/O. I left before Swift bought them. If I remember right Mike Starnes got a divorce and that led to the sell. As a company driver I was driving a flat floor Freightliner COE. Really nice as far as cab overs go.
Another Canadian driver, D.Tibbitt, scottied67 and 1 other person Thank this.
