Anyone with a clever thought would be appreciated.
Truck: 2014 Pete 388 ISX15
Symptom: Running down the road, a/c is fine, then out of the blue for no reason the air flow decreases and it gets less cool and also occasionally has an odd odor.
What I have done: changed expansion valve and accumulator. That didn’t really do anything change much. Then I changed the Hi and Low pressure switches, that did help a bit, but still same problem as before only less often.
Any thoughts?
A/C help please

Clean up the filters. There should be one for the cab and one for the bunk. If you are careful you can probably wash them out with soap and water and reuse them.
I cleaned mine up and there was a noticeable difference in airflow and cooling.
Drive safely!Rideandrepair, Kozakvod and D.Tibbitt Thank this. -

Is it a burning smell?
Maybe the blower motor or resistor are on the way out -

The freezing up is the problem.
When it starts to freeze up the evaporator produces that funny strange odor.
Freeze up usually only occurs if either the system is a little low on Freon or the sensor that goes in the air box that reads the evaporator temperature is not functioning correctly.Kozakvod Thanks this. -
That sensor, that not the pressure switches right? Is that sensor you speak of where is it?Hulld Thanks this. -
Forgot to explain if the sensor in the air box goes bad it can make the compressor run full on till it freezes up the evaporator.
When the evaporator reaches a determined temperature the sensor is supposed to shut the compressor off preventing freeze up and that funky smell.Rideandrepair Thanks this.
