Ice road

I-80 in Wyoming in the winter is enough ice road for me.

 

You just need enough to fill your glass!

 

I currently work for a company that has been doing winter roads for a very long time. Everyone I've talked to about it says it's absolutely nothing like the show (drama for it's own sake) and aside from the abuse the roads put the truck through, it's pretty laid back.

That said, many also commented on the fact that "anyone is up there now" even those with no business being up in the bush. Rates are also not what they used to be apparently.

I’m not sure if this is a troll post or not but the ice road in the show you are referencing is in Canada. If you are a US citizen and are dying to freeze your berries off look for jobs on the north slope in Alaska.

 

I do believe that the most fake, of all the fake shows on tv, award goes to Dog the bounty hunter.
As for driving ice roads, it is the easiest driving I've ever done. Talk about going slow....the only issue is not falling asleep it's so boring.
