Was this just the big factory Pete sleeper or the house on the back ICT?

I don’t think they will either but it does show what’s coming down the road. We would have it right now likely if we had a different President. So whether it’s 4, 8, 12, or 16 yrs from now it’s coming.

I pissed off a Ford salesman a while ago. Was kicking tires at the dealer, looking at a Platinum F-450 that was stickered at $105,000. Asked him why I should buy this truck when I can buy a small single axle Pete or Freightliner for that much money and have 3x the truck :D

I'm sure somebody will be dumb enough to think it's a good idea. I'm expecting them to try bringing back nationwide speedlimit like the old 55, you know to "save us from ourselves."

Hey if someone can make it work, then all the power to em. I did a $3500 truck payment for 60 months on a new ride, and it worked. Barely. But I was able to borrow @ 4.89% and failure wasn't an option.

Since its been paid for (nov 17') I am close to that, monthly, in "reconditioning fees" so I can roll with it for another 5 years. Point is, cant afford $3500 in repairs AND a $2500 payment month after month.Talk about being enslaved by the delicious, short-lasting smell of off-gassing that comes with 'a new one' on the 10% for 120 deal.

I can only imagine what the total interest paid over a 10 year term at 10% is. New trucks are nice, but not that nice!

    bzinger Thanks this.

Buying a 189k truck with 10 year term, and making a 2500 dollar a month payment?

That's a 10% interest rate, with no down payment at all.

If there was a decent down payment % calculated that you did not mention, that interest rate jumps a lot.

There’s no way some could do it with a house mortgage and a family you would be in the hole each month I would think

What do speed limiters have to do with large cars?

Have a large car drive 65 will save me more money for more chicken lights and maybe that new 53 spread.

But a 65mph limit is okay with me.. il drive 70... which I have been last 10 years til take a prick to ticket you at 5 over.
    So I’m okay with it

To me it is the "idea" of big brother always telling me what to do. I drove for years without anyone telling me when to take a break. Now big brother tells me. All about control. I agree run easier and put less strain on equipment etc. and yourself. Let me or you decide..freedom.

    Agreed

But, we’re not doing crap about it so until we grab some guns and go to war we’re gonna keep taking whatever they put on the table.
How many people here have said if they put eld in their truck I’m quitting and those guys are still here with their aobrd/eld still running around.

I didn’t want to be on that boat so I just went and spent 55k on a pre eld truck. For that price could have I gotten a better newer truck... sure. But, I’m making a move to still run like I always have until they make me put something in this truck or stop giving me registration
