    Well it’s official. I received my driver code and fuel card today. I’m now a driver for Shaffer Trucking! I meet my trainer tomorrow in New Kingstown and head out on the road.

    I’m on the Northeast regional but I believe it’s one day off for every six out. I’ll be on the road M-F.

    Regarding home time, I too heard about 1 day off for each 6 or 7 days out. But I know guys who say they run hard, keep their noses clean and work their 21 days out (OTR now) and then come home and take 6,7,8 or even10 days off without getting any push back from their Asset Managers.

    Good luck, they were bad to me, no respect, low pay, always got home late. Lots of sitting, lots of delays !
