Your Honda is in a league of it's own in the smaller dual sport market. The Yami 225 isn't terrible but the rest are pretty #### bad. If I wanted another smaller bike the Honda is the only dual sport I would consider.
OP have you considered a ninja 250? I don't know what they weigh but they are small and actually waaaayyyyy much more fun to ride than you would think. I got my wife one years ago to learn on and I rode it more than her lol.

If I had the hankering to have a bike on the rig again, that would mean I was back outside running the road, so a my wife would more than likely go too at this stage in the game. So I would want something big enough for the both of us, and be able to run hwy spds. Here a 250 honda would be about perfect, but I have enough room for a 4 wheeler and it works just as well.
For guys just wanting something to bop around town or take a trail now and then, if a guy could find one of them old fold up honda trail 90's that wasn't beat, that would be the berries, and they were dam ear bulletproof.

I just really wanted a dualsport bike for on and offroad. I used it to ride to the restaurant for my breakfast meeting this morning even. I have an actual street bike in the garage I hardly ever ride anymore since I got this little 250. If you hold it wide open on a long flat stretch it will get up to 130 kms/hr which is around 80 mph....don't be in a rush to get up to 80 though, or do 80 up a hill. But it is a very comfortable do 55 mph all day long bike. It also gets about 75 mpg so that little tiny tank actually has pretty decent range. The only reason i kept my big street bike is for long hwy rides, especially if riding two up with the wife.

Yea, I actually thought about one for even around town here, like you said the coffee shop and such, anything else unless a guy needs to haul something. Plus they are a blast on the logging roads too.

If all you want is a run about that will get you a couple miles and back to the truck, something like an AMF Roadmaster might work.

Basically a bicycle with a motor assembly that you lifted and dropped off/on the back wheel.

To start the motor, you used the pedals with the motor up. Then after you got up to about 10 miles per hour, you flipped the lever and dropped the motor onto the back wheel, and it would start.

To stop the bike you lifted the lever to disengage the motor, then the bike ran just like a bike again.

I think there was a secondary switch to engage the ignition circuit, but it might have simply been some sort of limit switch that detected if the motor was up or down.

The bike was a very solid bike. The motor was a two cycle engine not much bigger than a chainsaw motor. It had maybe a half-gallon tank and would go about 15 miles between fuelings if I remember right.

All told, bike and motor combined. It might have weighed a bit over 50 lbs.

    EDIT: Found a link

My first bike was a moped, I mowed lawns and bought it when I was 9 years old, you pedaled it with the compression release on and released it after you got it rolling. lol
I doubt it was over 50 cc's, but it would do 30 riding 2 up and another on the handle bars. lol
That thing wasn't much, but thinking back on it, it was remarkably dependable and took this kid everywhere.

Show me a bicycle that'll get me this. I just had a few hours of fun on my KLR in the dirt and twisties today.

Never warmed up to crotch rockets. I even bought a sort of one, a bandit. I am bad about putting a lot of miles on a bike, and I bet I didn't put over 2 or 3000 miles at the most on that thing., now a nice cruiser, or dresser, forget working. lol

Sometimes I envy people who get enjoyment out of high performance vehicles. I don't. I like driving, but I've never liked pushing a performance edge.
