ELD’s are not mandated in Canada till 2020. I guess you could recreate them in paper.

They should be fine looking at them on the unit.

Not sure if they're gonna spend the money putting an updated unit in the truck. It is one of the oldest trucks still on the road. Most of the trucks numbered around me have been pulled from regular service and put in the loaner fleet. It's a 2016, so by the time the US ELD mandate takes full effect, it'll be due to retire I believe.

Do the new trucks have ELD? Did you get a new safety guy yet?

Our Anthems and some of the newer Pinnacles have the Peoplenet removable tablet, and many are getting the latest update that meets the ELD mandate requirements. A lot of the tablet trucks still aren't fully compliant.

They promoted one of the Safety dept people to the top Safety position. I think it's a permanent placement not just an interim replacement.

See, the miles there still aren't that bad all the time, could be worse.

Driving for Mav, 2 of the past 3 weeks I've been under 1500 miles and received the minimum 1000 dollars. This week sat in Laurinburg from Tuesday until tomorrow morning with nothing going on at all. Me and about 25-30 other drivers waiting and waiting. Most of them got loads by Friday but mine isn't going far so I'm not leaving until Sunday to deliver on Monday. Then I'll see if I have to argue with them for the 800 mile minimum pay for the weekend since I won't get close to 800 for the weekend. Hell I only had 1200 this week and I did most of that Sunday and Monday.

Maybe I'll have to go to Moore haha, or Wylie since they've been pretty busy lately around here.

Well, I'm not saying things have turned the corner, but I have had 3 good weeks in a row. They say that Wylie got an increased number of loads out of Laurinburg. We're suppose to be getting somemore loads out of there as well.

I saw an empty Moore truck in Oregon the other day. I was surprised you came this far west.

Sorry it took me this long to reply, I went thru not 1 but 2 phones over the weekend. It might have been one of the drivers doing the west coast runs we recently acquired.

I feel your pain in the wallet. My IPhone 8 died last week. Replaced it with a Samsung S9.
