There is more to fear than the pointy stick . She used to be a preacher ,you know and she has high influence . When I made a remark about Swift drivers asking where to find a good job she told me to go to CA and she told RoadMedic "Okay fine. If you're semi bad you go to CA. If you're really bad you go to VA. If you're so bad you can't be redeemed then you must go live in NY" . I wasn't impressed . I made a couple of more remaeks about Swift drivers like a proctologist being in an appropriate place at Swift orientation . I was home and a few minutes later I got a message from dispatch . I had to pick up a load in VA -first time this year . Really , it's not a bad deal . Deadhead 720 miles to the shipper at $.40 a mile , get loaded and bring it back to the terminal and drop it for the local driver to deliver . Got to the Pilot 10 miles from the shipper Thursday night . Right before I got to sleep the flatbed next to me pulled out and a noisy old reefer backed in for the night . :biggrin_25516: . Went over to the shipper at 3:30 a.m. and was loaded and headed back in an hour and a half . Got into W. VA and figured VA wasn't that bad . About 15 minutes after crossing into W. VA I get a call from dispatch asking where I am . Then I'm told to stop because I might have to turn around and bring the load 250 miles back to the shipper . DO WHAT ???? :biggrin_25516::biggrin_25510:
Seems the plant in KY the load went to had a major breakdown and couldn't take the product . They said they'd get back to me in an hour , hour and a half . They knew it was going back but I had to stay put while they negotiated how to bill it . If they moved on it I'd be able to get unloaded and get headed back enough to still be home Saturday . No such luck . I sat for 3 hours , had just enough hours to get back to the same Pilot , and unloaded Saturday morning at 4 a.m. . Oh yeah , while I was in the Pilot eating a reefer backed in the space next to me . :biggrin_25510: . Got empty and deadheaded the trailer home . Got home 8 a.m. Sunday .
Now Nana says I'm going to NY :biggrin_2551:

ooooooooooo I really don't want you to have to go toNY. NJ was hard to get out of. If it makes you feel better.....the load we picked up friday, we had to wait 4 hurs to load then got 150 miles down the road and had to go back because they forgot something.

had to stop last night in Denmark TN and I finally had to get out of the truck and go shake my tire thumper at the hookers and their pimp and tell them I was calling 911 because they wouldn't stop knocking on our truck door. kept waking me up!

I'm in big trouble with Grandad for getting out without telling him.
