And when you got it your next receiver will have been built around 1920 with a wall built 20 years ago that will fit only cabovers. Not nose trucks like yours. I remember putting a few of the then newer 53's in for a few bucks now and then.

Older Coca Cola facilities can be annoying, for sure.

While you are backing up, turn the wheel the way you want the FRONT of the trailer to go. It may not make sense until you are actually backing up. Also, as soon as you realize that your arc is wrong, stop going back. If you are too far to the left, pull forward in an S turn to the right first and then the left. If you are too far right, pull forward in an S turn to the left first and then the right.

You will. Just take it slow especially when you are out in the real world.

I am not a good back at all. But I haven't hit anything yet that I know of. I go slow and think about what I am doing. Exit the truck when I need to look at my rear then get back in a back some more.

Don't let impatient people honk you into hurrying. If you need to exit to look at what you are doing, then do it. I am sure the guy parked next to your spot will thank you for taking that extra time, even if the knucklehead that cannot wait to drive past cannot.

I parked at Iowa 80 and went inside, my partner and I both, for a long time. When we returned our right side of trailer was all banged up. It wasn't the flatbedder that parked next to us. It was trailer damage. who ever did it smashed our side then drove away and Flatbed Fred slide into the spot some time after. When I parked I had empty spots on both sides of me so it wasn't anything I did. I always search of widest openings as rule.

Please just go slow and check your blind spots. I will wait patiently while you do it.

When docking, or parking at a truck stop for that matter.. The goal is to get as close to a straight back as possible BEFORE getting into the hole. You have true sight as to what the tractor is doing so use all of your space and try to keep close quarters right at your front bumper, not behind you.
