Pretty much 90% of the reefer freight and about 50% of the van freight I hauled over 12 years could go into the “worst” category. To this day, I still cringe when I pass a Wal Mart DC. They are the epitome of stupid idiots.

Never really had a bad tanker load in the 7 years I’ve been pulling them. There might have been a few delays at the Shell Plant in Houston years ago but since the implementation of e logs the company has hired dedicated loaders to deal with those issues. Tanker yanking isn’t for everyone but it’s defiantly my niche.

I guess I had it good compared to most of you guys. I spent my 10 hours under a loading rack once or twice and that's about the worst I've had it.

I got the chili and double stack at Wendy’s in Senatobia, Ms. I had the worst runs for a few days. Never, ever eat chili and a cheeseburger at the same meal.

Salinas CA would top all of the places in terms of wasted motion, lost revenue compounded by costs to precool etc.

We were a team summer of 2001, sit approximately 80+ hours in readiness at a moments notice to dock, resting in both bunks in a special snooze designed to be really rested and full of go. We were literally at a angle across both painted lines of their docks.

In the time looking at the night for the fourth day, wife and I thought about using our own credit to purchase and have delivered to us approx 400 gallons of diesel for the trailer was out pretty much and the tractor was down to hours. That big century detriot 515 was sipping fuel. and the idle was dropped to 600 on the 4th night when fuel was approximately 6 to 9 gallons in all tanks. Didnt know if we will see the sun with a operating engine we were not in a good situation.

Americold called us to dock a hour later. in 2 hours and 30 minutes later at the salinas truckstop just filling that fuel.

Freight? 1200 miles. When two bosses a week prior told us emergency go to Americold in Salinas I smelled BS, being hours from LA with FFE.

To this day I can feel a little anger at such a tremendous waste. Its epic.

I used to run out of the City Dock in Philly. Load up for Kensetts Square on US1 west of the city. Off the ship. Apples, Grapes of several kinds and all sorts of that type of freighting. MMm.. mm. Good.

There was a older west philly area near the Navy Yard that was a small container yard, lots of food trucks there. However the Hilton could not be bothered to see why Im in their lobby to get some air or heat depending on season.

That company just vaporized. They tried well and had a brave little operation going. One day. Out of business.

This past winter. I went from Spirit Lake, IA to Davenport, IA to pick up 2 pallets. Then had to go 600 mile back to ND for the other 2 stops. It had went from rain to freezing rain, and since I had about 1000 lbs on, I was slipping and sliding. Crossing into MN, my truck almost jack knifed, and thankfully it stopped in a 90 degree angle. I took my behind 500 feet to welcome center and parked it
