So what counts as a mega?

    Fuel is either their highest or second highest expense. Fuel & payroll are by far the highest expenses for most trucking companies.

  4. now you're not quite a mega you guys all the mail around I would go more with used to be MCA but .. and those idiots with Eagle..
    Hartt wa large well-known company but you're not in the class of mega carriers..
    Mega usually have a lot of crashes idiots all your big known companies that people love to make fun of are usually what classify more in the mega category.. because they have that big box mentality where you are a number and not a name

    If your truck is the slowest on the Interstate, you might be at a mega.

    If your truck has barely enough ground clearance to run over a piece of dental floss, you might be at a mega.

    If your truck has trailer tails, you might be at a mega.

    They may mention it and I’m sure they would love it if nobody idled the truck. To their credit, I’ve never been heckled about idling or made to fuel at specific locations. They have enough approved fuel locations that you can pick the ones that suit your needs best. They don’t do APUs because too many drivers couldn’t be bothered to check the oil and they became a cost burden.
