1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

M.Enterprises posted three days ago that his driver had a preventable collision that may cost him thousands and alot of other stuff and that the job might be opening back up.

Yeah I know about that. The impounding thing was just a worst case scenario worry when the driver didn't have enough to cover a toll in PA. That ended up uneventfully.

This story illustrates both sides though. It's very difficult to find good drivers across the board. Either you're a driver and your boss sucks, or you own a truck and your driver's wreck it. Trucking is no easy game. Heck I wreck my own truck and it's not because I just don't care... #### happens.

THIS IS IT, NO IF AND'S OR BUT'S: if you have a felony on your record you will not get a job by a mid to large company, i have applied and spilt my guts to over 100 companies, they DO NOT CARE. everyone on here is right only apply to the smaller ones if you at least want a chance at getting a job. they say they will hire you if your felony or whatever is yrs, 7 yrs, 10yrs..its all b/s! i myself am fed up with it all together. one would be lucky to get a job with a 10 yrs old misdemeanor.

jride, check out the company's that haul scrap metal, the pay is decent and they really do not care. I work for one of those company's that I speak of , it's hot dirty work but work is work right that is why the jobs are available. Be prepared to pull heavy loads oh and I don't have anything on my record it's just real tight right now. But while it's slow this job will more than pay the bills.
