So last night me and a buddy from my MC were riding side by side on our Bikes down the free way 10 over, speed limit dropped from 65 to 55, as soon as we hit the 55 FLASH. So I have to assume the camera hit us going 20 over.
For a camera flashing you 20 over is it still a criminal speeding charge? Does this effect your CDL since it was in my personal vehicle? Is my life going to come to a screaming end now?

The only traffic camera ticket I got was one in Texas, red light camera - 105’ long, didn’t get my trailer through in time.
Anyways - ticket was sent to my company, I paid it, no points or anything. Company said it was a straight revenue grab.

Reason for edit: spell Czech.Intothesunset Thanks this. -
I researched for a solid hour last night and really didn't find anything. I think it's a revenue thing too. My thing is I have orientation for the company I am working for tomorrow. I'll have to ask them when I get there, give them the update.blairandgretchen Thanks this. -
I’ve had the traffic lights in Memphis flash me several times. Haven’t received anything yet.tscottme, 86scotty, FlaSwampRat and 3 others Thank this. -
I wouldn’t mention it to the company. Wait for the mailman to bring you your present, and address it from there.
Side question - isn’t it safer to ride staggered, vs. side by side?tscottme, dunchues, Smoke2nd and 1 other person Thank this. -
I thought camera tickets
Go down as
Non moving violations
Got one in memphis for running a red light in personal vehicle
The letter they sent
Stated it was a non moving violation
No points taken
Just pay fineMACK E-6 and Aamcotrans Thank this. -
Maybe the camera did not get your plate number, or maybe you go to court and it gets dismissed or reduced to something minor, you only report what you have been convicted of.
So as of right now don't sweat it.tscottme, Cabinover101, 86scotty and 1 other person Thank this. -
