In 2012/2013 when Roehl started doing it, a lot of people were being sent for a sleep study regardless of their weight, BMI, blood pressure, snoring, and whatever reasons they’d send someone. And miraculously, pretty much everyone had mild sleep apnea and had to buy the machine, which luckily Roehl would payroll deduct for you. The doctor they sent me to said that I met Roehls safety teams qualifications to go test. I told the doctor I’m not taking medical advice or subjecting myself to any testing because someone who works for a trucking company, who’s not a doctor, says I need to. I left without a medical card and quit my job.
FlaSwampRat, Farmerbob1 and Powder Joints Thank this. -
If you seriously want to lose weight, knock off soft drinks, sugar, starch, go on a meat and veggie diet. Mostly meat, make lettuce wrapped cheese burgers your new best friend, you'll feel great and the pounds will come off fast. No Bread at all. you could drop the weight on a nigh protein diet faster than you can imagine, your blood work will get better.
It is more of what you eat than what you do. You can lose wight on a high protein diet without the exercise, I think exercise is great, but what you eat plays a bigger role than what you do.Last edited: Aug 15, 2019

Lost close to thirty pounds on weight watchers~you can eat the things you like just have to count your daily points, the biggest thing is to cut out SUGAR and drink plenty of water~read an article a few months ago how food manufacturers have all these names for sugar there were 56 different names~so you got to read them labels.

I was 30 lbs overweight. Only 210. Didn’t think it a big deal till I picked up a 25 lb bag of dog food. Puts it in perspective

My only comment on that is that if you are not *required* to take a sleep apnea test, do not ever volunteer to do so. Way too much fraud and/or bad diagnosis out there in the professional driver sleep apnea diagnosis and treatment field.
Especially if you have no tiredness issues. -
Wife told me to pick it up and gave me that look

@Farmerbob1
This is what I am worried of. I've read everywhere that the docs are trying to pass off everyone to a sleep test. I'm 25 and have no problems sleeping, I don't snore, and I can wake up as fine as everyone else (I don't jump out of the bed but I wake up at 7a fine after going to bed at 12a-1a). -
I think you’re possibly making it out to be a bigger deal than it is. If you don’t snore, you almost certainly don’t have sleep apnea. A sleep study will confirm that. And the sleep study itself is pretty easy.
FlaSwampRat Thanks this.
