I do but what's that got to do with it?
I also built and remodeled houses (on my dime) for 30 years before driving a truck but what does that have to with it either?
I'm a problem solver by default, no different than many others out there.
I may not have the answer to solve the problem but I'm always looking for it.
Giving up is RARE.Last edited: Aug 20, 2019
FlaSwampRat, Opendeckin and 86scotty Thank this. -
I didnt ask you a question.
I do own a truck. -
What is management/factoring fee?Dave_in_AZ Thanks this.

Since you guys are O/O, please provide your opinion how he can get out of this and start making money.
I, personally, don't understand, how can anyone with o/o experience, even see a way for the OP besides quitting. -
Take out a home equity loan on air tabs, trailer skirts, super singles, lift axle, etc. Only other thing he can do to make a lot of money is pull directly for Amazon.

Factoring is when you pay somebody to give you the money you earned, but then you may have to give it back if everything doesn't go well.
Hopefully he is not tied up with a factoring company that is also managing his truck, some of them factoring contracts are double skeery.Shanebklyn and Opendeckin Thank this. -
I'm with you in that the mob mentality is always in force around here especially on issues like this.....BUT.....If the OP had done his homework and had capital there's no way he would be paying outlandish fees like this 'management' fee, dispatch fee and factoring. I would really like to give him the benefit of the doubt but this is trucking 101. Save money, get your credit right and do the easy work yourself. Anyone who doesn't do that is not going to have an easy road. I'm not going to say fail, though. Anything is possible.
OP, I gotta know if you put your days in to running this truck or if this is a side money project? That's what I really want to know. It's what I always want to know about situations like this. It sounds like you just set this thing in motion on the side and are seeing if it will make you a little money, like playing in the stock market or something like that, while you work a day job. I'm afraid I have very bad news for you about trucking.Opendeckin, ZVar and Cattleman84 Thank this. -
I agree...I must have missed the part that he's factoring, if so, then he's under funded.
.It's business 101. Doesn't matter if you have a truck for hire or if you're selling flowers, the 101 is still the same.Last edited: Aug 20, 2019

And dispatch fee. And trailer rental.
I just want the $25K year worth of dispatch and management fees.
