Hi all! I'll be attending an open house with LCTI (a Sage school) for my CDL A next month. One of the companies/recruiters will be USF Holland. When I checked their web site and looked into jobs for recent grads it brought up a program with USF Glenn M. Both under the same parent co. and that different?

    Has anyone attended?

I've seen great things on here for Holland but mostly bad for Glenn.

    Any opinions/experience?
    Need a career change quick!

    Thanks....

I may be wrong but I think Holland is Teamsters, I don't think Glenmore is??

I think you're right, but it looks like the recruiter will be from USF Holland and the training (after Sage) will be with USF Glenn. I would prefer a union of course. The open house is tomorrow (guess I'll find out) and the CDL school beginning in October. Just don't wanna make a bad decision after I have my license.

What's the best company for newbies. Just lookin for something close to honesty and decent miles.

Must have been the recruiter from Glen Moore. We don't have an Allentown terminal anymore. I went to LCTI school also.

Sorry to say, but I don't think USF Holland along with Yellow Frt and Roadway will be around much longer.

Just to let you know, YRC stock about $1.70. Every other LTL company around $30+ or better. Not much life left in YRC.

I am not affiliated anymore with YRC so I can care less about them. Stocks really don't seem to matter much with this economy anymore. The point is with that dolly and back pup hopping up and down with no freight in it doesn't pay the bills.

I just started with Holland. There were 12 drivers at our orientation. Said they are hiring about 400 this year. I don't see them going anywhere but up.
