    Its been fun, but I gotta run. Just picked up my 1477 mile backhaul. Easy run and delivery Saturday morning.

    Enjoy your Saturday delivery. I'll be home tomorrow with 3300 miles akready for the week. Houston to IL home for 2 days, then LaCrosse to Denver, and currently on my backhaul to Marion IL that I'll deliver tomorrow and go home for the holiday with 3300 miles.

    This is after last weeks LaCrosse to Memphis, Memphis to Denver, and Denver to Houston for 3200 miles and still reset at home.

    Its miserable here I just dont know how I manage.....

    Are you using students as second source of income to add to yours?..hopefully you're training them properly and not using them solely as xtra income as many do..

    You're wrong there. I'm guessing all the employees who will eventually lose their jobs will still care. And the drivers who no longer have a company where they treat their drivers well and with respect will still care. Random aholes on truckers report not so much.

    Those runs I just listed were all done solo. I haven't had a student for couole months now.

    As for am I just using them for $ or am I actually training them I'll just say this. I stay in weekly contact with almost all of my former students. They either call or text me with questions or just call to shoot the #### because I consider them friends now. So they must be ok with my training style. Ive also given my # out to several Millis drivers who weren't my students and I've gladly, without compensation helped them any way I can.

    I don't team.. I refuse to sleep when they are drivin . They will sleep when I drive sometimes as I will normally start my day driving from 1 or 2am till 5 or 6am and then let them knock out their 8, 9, 10+ hours while I'm in the passenger seat. I put in ALOT of 16+hr days when I have a student but financially we both benefit and he still recieves proper training.

    Im actually taking a student from this site starting nxt week so he will be able to give 1st hand experience on my training style

    What i was getting at is...a lot of so called trainers in this industry just use students essentially as a 2nd log book to make money....I've always said, if you make xtra money doing it, that's great, but make sure the folks are trained properly...too many aren't...I've been a trainer myself...i was very detailed witg my training and such that they knew for the most part how to do their job with little no instruction vs how they were when started...i never passed anyone who didnt seem to be competent in any way...

    I'm not here to fight or argue...as I said I've been chewed up and spit out a few times myself, yeah it's shocking to deal with it first hand but you live, learn and move on. Life goes on, the world keeps turning. With, and soon to be without, Millis Transfer.

    And I still say if they were so great to begin with, they wouldn't have sold out to a even bigger bigger mega carrier. Just my .02
