Not surprised at all. As a former LP with HML, I started to see the direction that HML was headed. I signed on with them January 2016. You had to have at least two years verifiable OTR experience. I got that with FFE. I've my CDL since 2011. Rockbuckets, trashcans ans a sweeper believe it or not. By January 2017, they only required 6 months verifiable experience. By 2018 only 3 months. Now you just have to have finished with a truck driving school.

I've heard good things about Hirschbach. There's a guy who says that he's making 1400 a week on the lease to own program after everything's paid for, and fuel only costs .99 cents a gallon with their lto program. I wouldn't throw the whole company under the bus because one scumbag psycho got in.

No, he said that was take home. I was specific in asking for his net income after overhead. Plus, if you can trip plan to 100% on time service and drive incident free, there's no way you won't own that truck after 3-4 years. Sounds like an ok deal to me. And you can choose a Kenworth as one
    of the options.

I do admit that I didn't verify the pay and fuel prices, but I know you can get a freightliner, kenworth and another truck as the options. Look up wild beard trucker on YouTube and contact him, he has his cell posted and is the one who gave me that information.

There is no “good deal” on a lease purchase, period! Even if you did pay it off and got the truck, you will have paid at least $20k more than you could’ve purchased the truck.

"Sounds like an 'ok' deal to me."

Isn't it an option for someone who doesn't have the capital to buy a new/used truck, as long as the carrier isn't using the lto program to purposefully scam people out of never owning it? I mean, 90% of the comments about lto programs I've read say that they're bad, and I'm aware that some have a balloon payment at the end that can be ridiculous. Hirschbach is the only one I've heard positive things about. 1400 a week sounds way better than what I'm making right now. And once you own it, you can get your own authority and earn over 3k a week.

Listen, I’m not here to tell anyone what to do. If someone wants to sign the bottom line and try to make it work, power to them. I honestly hope it works out. I’m pro driver. But, history speaks loud and clear. Most will fail miserably. I just hate these scumbag companies make money at the expense of drivers.

Someone who doesn't have the "capital" are the ones most of these companies go after. They are the ones who fall for the "no money down" "be your own boss" spiel. They are the same ones who are the worst candidates for a L/P.
