I wonder what happens here if this speed limit mandate bill buzzing around goes through? What does Mercer end up doing? Make everyone follow through and check to make sure drivers here are compliant when they get annual inspection in Louisville?

 

They'll do like Ontario does. Leave it up to the companies to have their drivers comply, and make DOT able to do scans and impose fines on trucks during inspections

 

I think it's dead, or will be. One of the bill orginators is retiring...

 

Good... Because governing trucks will not change anything of the problems out there on the road.... Also governing a truck should be Its sole authority of the owner of the equipment as to whether they want to or not nobody else

 

Is a leaking shock a dot violation? I didn't see anything on fmcsa site.
