Well you certainly have my condolences. I wouldn't have stuck it out with such a crappy company. I certainly wont/will not. I did a bunch of research trying to find a good company to start with and mitrucker sent me this way. Only left because I was offered better for my situation. Less than 1 year. Went to R+L and left them after 3.5 weeks because of crap equipment and just how they operated. Love where I am now. Great equipment, treated with respect, valued, nice yards and barns. Hard to believe if a company can top this. Passed my one year mark and have no desire to leave or even look.
Everyone understands leaving a company because its a bad fit or just a life sucker these days. Anyways, best of luck and I hope things work out. The only thing that matters in this life is that you're happy where you're at, and what you are doing. Life is too short to be miserable or feel trapped.

For any new drivers. Those 32 csa points were only 2 violations. They take the points assigned. Then multiply them because you're first year. That's how it was 32.
After that. Knowing how to get things fixed on my own at a truck stop. I gained zero CSA points. Zero. I went crazy getting stuff fixed on trailers for the remainder of the year. This while delivering on time. Oh...that's Zero until 15 months later, dash cam video denied that would have definitely beat a bad traffic ticket.
It's all to put 100% responsibility on the drivers. Zero on the companies. That's why DOT hates their step child, FMCSA. DOT told me it's funded by the companies.
Try to turn in a trailer to get fixed after a run? Ignored, completely.
You should appreciate Magnum's shops. They do a great job. They look out for you.Last edited: Sep 21, 2019

Thank you Ray. I really should accept all responsibility myself. There were Red Flags. I tolerated them. Wanted to do pneumatic tanker. I had Red Flags before. Then even the first day. More Red Flags. I should have walked out then. It is all my fault.
And as far as sticking it out, Ray. I've grown less tolerant. That's exactly why I left Oil Field after two months. No violations. But just a matter of time till trouble with DOT.
BTW... Beat you to ND, Scooter. Did a run to Dickinson last night with the owner. Two trucks. Got a Red Flag here. He's insecure. Need to have a long talk with him. Otherwise everything great.Last edited: Sep 21, 2019

I would love one with an extra external camera. One that I could easily attach to the back of the trailer for backing.dwells40 Thanks this. -

I grabbed this one. Added a 128g sd card, the suction cup mount for $7 and went to HD and grabbed some of that 3m plastic velcro to put on the mount so I can just add/remove from my window. The suction cup is for when I run in a truck that is a loaner that isn't state side or if mine is in the shop.WesternPlains and 28 Thank this. -
I get stopped when Im at places now because Im in company apparel. People want to know about the company. A buddy and I like to stop in Napoleon. All I can say is there is a reason why we have the lowest operating ratio and we are the happiest drivers on the road. Plus! No frickin' autos!!WesternPlains Thanks this.
