I've pretty much logged everything I do anyways, now have the ELD going from AORBD, it's more restrictive, you just have to think of the event your doing, we have the Yard Time on ours, basically saves your drive time just steals from your on duty/70..lol which in reality is correctly legal....be careful with Yard Move option if your a lead foot...ours will put you in Drive after if you hit 20 mph. Use Annotate for notes on anything you need to have on your logs to prove to DOT just what you did. Yard Move for us can only be used while at a Shipper or at one of our terminals, NOT at a truck stop, public road, or the like. PC mode is just that if your company gives you that option, and use the Annotate function to put in for instance Going To Walmart, etc all must be personal, don't try to get anything done job related like going to shop, truck wash, etc. Our PC time is 50 miles or 1 hour a day, after that it's Drive or a call from the logs dept...lol...Just remember drivers, all miles must be accounted for with ELD. If your going to shop Log Off, our company gives the mechanics their own log on so moves they make for testing, etc are on their duty, if you don't log out that shop movement of your truck will be against your hours, when you get your truck back from the shop you will get a message for unassigned time, as others have said make sure you reject it, if not those hours become your hours against your time. Hope this helps out some drivers, along with others comments of similarity.
straight ELD mode!

Any posted speed limit at shippers/receivers will be obsolete by the end of the year. Nobody will go past 5 mph. -

I take them already.

free spirited1 Thanks this.

figured out, it'll kick over to driving if you hit 5 mph in reverse. This winter is going to suck! Some pre-loads can be set 'low' and you need to get a good 'jump' on the truck to get it to 'lift' trailer. UGH! but, guess challenge accepted.

So I have to log on duty pretrip before moving my truck even though I have no tank to do a pretrip on. So isn't that basically falsifying logs? I have to drive 100 feet or so to pick up my tank lol. So I guess pretrip the truck, then drive 30 seconds (or yard move) and then do a 2nd on duty pretrip for the tank? This is silly.
