A 6 month low mileage policy may prove to be problemetic.
If you are running your own authority you will be required to keep insurance year round or reinstate it every year, the start up insurance costs will always be out of sight.
I know of no companies that offer low mileage, It is cheaper to get a 150, 100 or even 150 mile radius limit of home base, if you do not plan to get over 150 miles from home much. I think they told me they allowed 5 trips a year out of the area on a deal I checked on like this.

My first truck was a dump truck in Texas, I had unlimited miles , but it specifically stated no Harris county, or I had to pay a premium.

Thing is- I know very little about hauling cars-

Whats the Return?? If its your typical $2500-$4000 per week revenues- Not worth it-

Now,I assume hauling cars generates $5-$7k per week if not more, (I could be wrong) ..Thats said A $20k premium per year isn't out of line....Your Profits will surely support that.

I just PM'ed you. For anybody else looking, United Commercial Insurance from Boise, ID has gotten me the best quote so far. The quote only took a few hours once you send them all the info. I still have a few companies from earlier in the week not even email me back.

    PE_T and Wespipes Thank this.

Get your authority as soon as possible. Dont wait 10 years. This is America, own your own thing. I paid $9k for insurance year 1, $7k year two, $5.5 k year three. Paid it up front. Own your own company. YOU CAN DO IT!
