The trucks are governed at 70 mph and generally have the Paccar MX-13 set at 500 hp and 1850 ft/lbs torque. We have a few cummins X-15 efficiency engines set the same.
If you are someone who spends a lot of time in the truck and only stays home a few days per month then $75K is realistic, most earn between $65K and $72K but a few push $80K.

currently I’m sitting in WI with a shear on my top deck and the whole bottom open after delivering this morning. I’m headed South and working with the planners to find a partial to make this a high profit week.
Flexibility is the key - and a passport which I need to update because some of our Canadian and Alaskan loads are crazy profitable. -

Fuel in some places was touching $5 per gallon.
I made a killing with surcharges...Did a lot of ltl too that year, which of course made it even better, surcharges per shipment class and break,
The difference between 08 and 19 is fuel isn't high enough to get 35 40 percent in surchargeWinnyf1 and runningman0661 Thank this. -
