Those #### bobtails...

If there are bobtail size spots available, that's where they should park.
Lots of truck stops will utilize extra space just for this purpose.
If there's no adequate bobtail parking... they can park where they need to.

It is nice if they're smart enough to go back to back in the pull thrus, though.

 

The way I've learned to handle this is that when I'm bobtail I never park in a truck spot , and I've never been hasseled over it . Now if I see you parked in a full truck spot the truck stop is filling up . I'll run fifth wheel grease on the inside of all your door handles and mirrors . Just to watch you lose prescious eld time cleaning up the mess just as you made some full rig keep searching for parking. Case closed set in stone.

I park my bobtail on the scales while I go in to shower and eat the buffet.
Then I come back out, throw my trash on the ground, dump my pee jugs in the window buckets, and slow Jake bump all the way to the street with my radio blasting wide open.

 

So just because we had to drop a trailer at a receiver for 24 hours we have no right to park in a open spot?

Gotcha. From now on all bob tails just dont take showers, eat or even take 30’s or even 10’s near civilization.

Here is a tip for you and its free. If i am going to fit inside and no ones going to bother me I’m doing it dont care if you are pissed you had to park somewhere else.

We all have done it. Put your big boy pants on and drive on stop blaming others for the lack of parking.

The botail police are the same guys that complain about the oversize taking up 2 spots.

When someone is close to the truck my dog growls. If she’s concerned she lets out a woof. If she starts barking I better get up and see what’s going on. And I’ve been waiting for the day I can open the door and say “Fassen” but that hasn’t happened yet. Guess I’ll start parking bobtail in truckstops just so I can see if the training has paid off or not.
