Stopped in BRF for fuel today. Went into dispatch to get my new registration and came back out to the truck to find my hood open. One of the mechanics was installing one of those heartland RFID things to the frame under the hood. Was gone for 5 mins and they got me lol
MIT Thanks this. -
Now they can track you every..... Oh wait, nevermind . Lolol

Yup delivering there sucks. Last time i delivered there I was there 5hrs waiting with no trucks in the fn docks. I got into it with the shipping guy, called dispatch, and low and behold was in a dock in 5mins after phone call

I got here at 1910 with less than an hour on my 14. This was a "same day delivery" load or I would've probably waited til morning to deliver because of that. Check in. Security talks to somebody on the radio and tells me where to dock. I go back there, back in, and go to the door with my paperwork. Ring buzzer. Not a soul around. Go back to the truck. Repeat this a few times and after I've been there an hour and a half, I walk up to the guard shack. Guard gets on the radio. They tell him they'll get around to me when they get around to me. I tell the guard I'm going to to bed and they can come get me when they're ready. Walk back to the truck, wait awhile longer. Finally I decide to get comfortable and if course as soonos I do, I feel the dock lock locking. They finally had me unloaded at 2150. Guy in receiving said nobody told them that there was a truck waiting until I went back up to the guard shack and by then they were in a meeting. At least he was very apologetic about it.
Fortunately that Kum n Go in Ames doesn't seem to be that popular. Even at 10pm the parking was still half empty. -
Same story during one of my deliveries at Barilla in Avon except no apology. I'm still hurt by that.. XPO Logistics sucks at logistics. Can't load correctly either. Half the time I pick up there the weight is too far forward or too far back. I asked the night supervisor who had to rework my load why this happens so often. He said that no one follows the load plans. Great.

Makes no sense why we get live unloaded from there when we have fn drop trailers there to pick up our next load? Let us drop the #### and go
Well got my reminder today on why Blue City fn sucks. Havent been here in 6? 7? 8? Months and hopefully its at least that long before i come back. Arrive at 9 15 for our 11am pickup. Get told we will call you. 1059 we get called to door 23. Back into door and havent been touched in the almost 45mins we've been backed in. Guess I'll cut Midwest Whse some slack about the way they do things. As fd up as it is at least they get you out relatively quickCoragran Thanks this. -
What’s the purpose of that?

Im guessing Heartland terminals have gates that are opened and closed by the prepass type of transponder things so we can now get into a Heartland terminal if needed.

Anyone ever deliver to Bozick Distributors in Waldorf, MD. That's a nice small place. I need to send in better directions (if you send in directions be accurate and know your left and rights...also definitely no overnight parking there.)
Then more adventures in messed up docks and backing at Terminal Corp in Baltimore. Suppose you could blindside the dock, but in a sleeper feel really in the way of operations there.
In fact, felt quite out if place at both sites today in a big sleeper.
