Ok if you say so. Were you aware of her before she hit you???
D.Tibbitt Thanks this. -
If a 4-wheeler with a glimmer of intelligence and an excess of road rage gets angry at you for some reason, and they see an officer on the side of the road ahead, I can easily see them pacing you to prevent you from getting over.
The smart ones with road rage issues won't do anything overtly dangerous, but if they can force you into getting a ticket, it will make their day.Veteran driver and mjd4277 Thank this. -
Op was posting about move over because of law enforcement. Then you had to inject your story to try to make your accident logical. I still stand by the fact that 99% of the time there is an out possible.
Bean Jr. Thanks this. -
Can we get the truth on this site just one time? How come all you law abiding truckers always seem to get a tickets? But of course are never at fault?
Lemme guess foot up on the dash, texting, flying down the interstate like a bat outta Hell and didn't see the officer until after you blew his doors off as he sits on the shoulder?
Just 1 time... I just want to hear the truth!!!peterd, HoneyBadger67, Mark E7 and 3 others Thank this. -
You still got brakes to slow down & move over if looking ahead far enough . gotta pay attention to people around you.

I once had a guy not only slow down beside me, he and I just totally stopped finally. I was actually trying to get back in the right lane to make a right turn, and the guy just paced me the last mile.
This was during rush hour traffic on 146 down close to seabrook TX, we had lots of traffic backed up and the guy stopped and just stared ahead with horns honking and everything, until I ask what was wrong with him. He then spun out leaving there. lolVeteran driver Thanks this. -
One thing happened. The only way this is true is if all of it happened, which is unlikely.
1. Cop was on the roadside with the discos going.
2.Driver tried to switch lane, but blocked by car.
3. Driver dropped his speed to 20 under.
4. Cop chases him down and gives him a ticket.
5. COP ACKNOWLEDGES VERBALLY THAT HE SAW THE CAR BLOCKING AND THE TRUCK DROPPING SPEED but going to write the ticket regardless.
In this day of driver cams and recorders, and cellphones with audio/video capabilities I cannot see number 5 happening...unless he ran into the stupidest cop in US history...which could be possible. If that’s the case, name the state, agency and badge number. There has to be other instances of this.Mark E7, FlaSwampRat, Bean Jr. and 2 others Thank this. -
There’s always that 1% where **** can happen, despite your best efforts to do everything safely.
Having said that, sometimes you have to take things with a grain of salt.Farmerbob1 Thanks this.
