Can a move over law affect CDL?

While I haven't come to a complete standstill doing this, I have had this happen TWICE at exit 132 on I-80 in Illinois, the South Chicago Street exit (US-52) It's a short on ramp, and short off ramp. Ugly little intersection, and 4-wheelers seem to love to simply pace me as we both slow down until I hit the air horn, then they seem to realize that I am not going to pass them because I need to get off the interstate, and they are blocking me.

 

Why is it in the last year trucking accidents is at an all time high????
If everybody does nothing wrong then what's the problem????

Plenty of old timers do all the same stuff you mentioned.

 

Some of us have yet to get a ticket for failure to move over. Seems like a Lot of newer drivers want to drive trucks like their cars. Admit it or not there is a Lot of aggressive truck drivers out there.

 

I try to believe what people say here unless the story sounds impossible, they have a history of trolling or bad behavior, or they describe something I simply cannot wrap my head around.

I might disagree with people pretty regularly, but I still try to avoid telling random people that they are liars.

Do you really believe everything that was said. The trooper is held to accountability for that ticket.

 

I've never got a ticket in a big truck.

you don’t need to be aggressive either, throw your blinker on and get over. They’ll move. That’s what I was trying to tell op. Don’t let cars bully you, sometimes you just gotta get over and let them figure it out.

 

How many people have been on here stating well got another ticket. Time to lawyer up & get it downgraded. Some don't care.
