@Sergio Alfaro Reply no you don't gain anything in that situation... Had you taken a 2 hour break instead of a 30 min, and then .Went to sleeper for the 8 hours, then you would have gained back 5 hrs on your 11, and 7hrs on your 14.

If you do it right, you'll never need to do that 30 minute break again. -
So I’m off duty on sleeper. Have to be for 8 hours. I drive an hour to my receiver. Go off duty for two more hours. This will reset my 14 correct?

Does the split give you any of your drive hours back during your 14 hour clock?

Inorder to start a split berth you must stop for the first break when you still have time on the clock.
Example: start day and drive 4 hrs, go off duty or sleeper for 2 hours while getting loaded (or to take a nap, or whatever). At which time you have 8 hours left on 14, and 7 on 11. Drive 7 hrs then do 8 hours in sleeper. When the 8 hours is completed you will have 4 hours available on 11, and 6 on 14 hour clocks. Then you will have to do another break, either a 2 hour or a 8 hour break. -
In my time you could split your rest all you wanted.
Navy style dog watches 4 hour tours of duty followed by 5 off 5 and 4 and 5 and 4 running for as long you have a recap dating back 8 days. If you were a team you have endless motion lotion. Roll and roll and roll.
Just be careful that when DENNIS is puking under the sleeper fairings hes had quite enough thank you very much. -
OMG. I'm too much of an idiot for this stuff. I'll stick to my punch in and drive just make sure you punch out before 14 hours is up.
