Hello
Chinatown and truckdriver31 Thank this. -
McDonald's is hiring ... I've seen signs asking for people to work there starting at $13 hour and an additional $2 - $3 an hour for night and weekend work.
Home Depot is in the same situation, the one near my house had a sign out $12 hour with $3 for night and weekends, when I was there last week, the manager was actually begging one of the workers not to quit and offered $16 an hour to stay.AModelCat, Midwest Trucker, Flat Earth Trucker and 1 other person Thank this. -
I met him back in 2004 when i was flatbedding. He worked for the same place. We have been trucking so many years but he fell upon some hardships , after a year of not trucking he gave up trying to get a trucking job cause everyone said he would have to go back ouy with a trainer, but he has 2 dogs and he cant. Now hes a janitor and doesnt even make enough to get a apartment. Hes in his 60's and homeless pretty much. If he could just get back in a truck he could just run forever. He doesnt need any hometime cause the truck would be his house
Coffey and truckdriver31 Thank this. -
He has a job $11hr but its not enough to pay rent plus deposit. Thats the hardest thing hes facing so hes stuck. He says he would give anything to be back in a truck

FlaSwampRat, stillwurkin, 062 and 1 other person Thank this. -
If he hasn't drove in a while, most places can't hire, even an O/O with an empty truck, insurance companies rule the world, and usually won't hire someone without recent experience, if they will allow it, then the price is double/triple depending on record.
Had a guy the other day wanting to work with me and drive but they wanted 25,000/year for the guy cause he had speeding tickets.stillwurkin, Coffey and truckdriver31 Thank this.
