Questions about Walmart

I've been wanting to say this but don't want to sound like an angry ex driver because i'm not. I've been told by office staff managers are not allowed to be on face book but it would be easy to do, or have a spouse join to get the scuttlebutt. I joined a Wally drivers face book page a while ago but think it was started by a driver who left but then came back and shut the page down. Unfortunately there are tattletale drivers who do like to whisper in the GTM's ear.

 

About the microphone in the cab, a friend gave it a test unintentionally a couple of months ago. He was in Boston MA and had just got going from a light when a pick up flew by him on the left the slammed the brakes on and cut across him to turn right causing my buddy to stand on the brakes to avoid hitting him and this triggered an event.

My buddy is normally a quiet guy but he started swearing a blue streak, said he was still swearing ten minutes later. A couple of days later he was in the break room and the safety came out and said can i see you a minute. They watched the video but there was no audio and my buddy thought it best not to mention it so we don't know if it was not recording or the safety man ignored it as he realized most drivers would react like this.

I don't think you can drive anywhere in MA and not say #@%#& you.

 

i say bad words my 14 hour shift. i told the safety guy. if you dont thank my ### is walmart material. then fire me.

 

So which one is it? Did I get hired because I'm a crappy driver? Or in spite of it?

Inverters: yes the trucks have them. But they shut off after two hours. I do not know how long you have to wait before you can turn it back on. I plugged my walkie in one night, inverter turned off before it was charged up, I haven't used it since. I "heard" that wal mart doesn't want us kids to stay up watching tv all night. Don't know if that's the real reason or not.

Phone policy. 6 calls per day allowed, no call can be longer then 10 minutes (this only applies to drive line). Here's the thing, 11:00 am your call accidently lasts 10 min 30 seconds. 3:00pm (4 hours later)you bump a yellow post. You will be fired for violating phone policy.

 

So then what’s the answer? Aren’t you capable of answering good questions?

 

So, what you're saying is:
1: If you hate life, and want to be with like minded company, join the facebook groups with people who also hate life.
2: Walmart drivers aren't skilled. We just lucked into the position.
3: Running stop signs should be fine, but the big bad company will find out, and punish us.
4: We should only stay with the company because they give us time off. And why work, when we can not work?
5: Walmart's going to replace us with OTR companies, but you're sticking around anyways, because, well... I guess it's not so bad after all.

If the truth about Walmart Transportation isn't found in these forums, please, link us to the Facebook groups with only truthful drivers. But to be honest, you come off as the type of driver that can't be pleased. If I'm wrong, please fix my confusion.
