I've seen dump trailers like this. I can't see it under the material, but some trailers have about a 2 foot covering in the front that you can rest the tarp on. These schmucks covered the whole works and probably on the deck plate as well.

oh ok, because as i was reading his description, sounded to me like the tarp was INSIDE the dump, not outside. i have only seen a couple of the cable pull tarps, but for all others, they were the tarps on a roll, that had the arm, that you pushed a button and it automatically covered the dump.

I haven't hauled sawdust, I did pull hopper for 9 years, they used to load it like that and think it was funny seeing you climb up and have to pull the tarp over and shovel, and then kick the bar the rest of the way off the trailer.
Then I wised up, and took off from one end of the lot to the other grabbing gears, then slammed on the brakes and threw most of the pile on the front over the cab.
Then reverse and run backwards then slam on the brakes again, grain/mill/hulls it always worked, then they got to take the loader and get their mess up.
Remember, it's not your load until you sign the bills. ;)

Probably the tip of the iceberg,,,it's missing an axle hub cap too. and another thing, looks like they are running around without a service brake line and no light cord too, oh, the horrors.

    His quote.
Well that’s not my truck, it’s just the yard truck. It never sees the road.

Drove for a guy who owned a big farm and loved to load a truck.
Most I have ever hauled was a little over 132000 lb of corn.
So you could tell, he really cares about equipment and the drivers

Do you have any idea how many times I've heard that? Something on YOUR truck breaks, no other tractors around, guess what you'll running down the road,,just this one load,,:biggrin_25513:

Ha, ha! I'm so joining the Opus fan club. I just wish he wouldn't hold back an tell us how he really feels. ;)

It is, but you can do a lot with it, besides just heat an eat. When I was younger, an not so financially sound, I did the ramin thing. Got old plain, but a little creativity an it was good. Now an then I get a hankering for a dose of not good for you, so will make a batch just for kicks an giggles.

To the OP......life is to short, find another place to work. You direct boss seems to have an issue with you. The fact he keeps bringing it up in such a way leads me to believe he's going to to do the same about anything you do wrong. Once it's happened, it should be over with, not thrown into your face after the fact. Who knows, maybe him an the guys that load you are friends outside of work.

I'd say punch'm in the mouth. Then rub it in anytime you see him.

'No, boss. It's my fault. I figured you knew to duck when someone punches you. Guess I was mistaken." or..."Hey bossman, remember that time I knocked you the **** out? HAHA! Classic.!"

I'd ignore my advice on punching him though. Will just make it harder finding another job.
