Well, you have to understand the words being used, so “neglence” means on purpose. So let’s say you get into an accident well the insurance would cover it. Now let’s say you smash it with a hammer than it’s on you. Damaging something accidental is different than “ negelence”. So I don’t know what your worried about. Besides there are federal laws ( no matter the state) that protect you from this.

@wadeput I have around long enough to know you are playing around with words. When something is that vague it is can of warms that you need to run from. I just want a f*** job not a headache. C'on man. This ain't no job. @ZVar not signing it is not enough they fact they have that, I need an iron-clad waiver to even get close to them. No waiver they can F OFF.

Also another observation worth noting here. When you hear if you have too many jobs in this industry you get blackballed it is because they know they cannot take you for a ride so they don't want you. So the reverse psychology of that is change jobs as often as you can unless you run across an outfit that you absolutely love.

There isn't a state I've found (I've looked, but admittedly not hard) that doesn't allow wilful destruction to be taken out of a paycheck. Don't need to sign paperwork to allow it either.
So that paperwork is just to cover their backside when they try to charge for company operating expenses.

I have seen it were they make you pay the deductible, if it was you fault.
And that was the only reason, if you hit something, you paid deductible, not the entire repair ammount.

Sounds like they are going to charge the driver and not file on their insurance.

Well a company can backcharge an employee for some thing, they gave a good list to the op but with all the hype the op is doing and with only five weeks road time, he needs to just apply everywhere he can and see what falls out of the mix and what he can get into if he needs a job.

Count me in with that crowd! I don't know why he does it, but his research is generous and valuable.

i never in all my years, had any such paper to sign, and if anyone told me that I HAD TO or go home, then g'byeeee......

take a photo copy of this wish list from that dirtbag company...

then tell them to stuff it...they will NOT negotiate this.

then seek employment, at any of the other 27 million trucking companies.

and if you do get "DAC'd about failure to show up for orientation..??>

show any potential employer that insipidly stupid wish list....

in fact, name them to us, so we can look them up on the safe stat website....!!!!!!

i'll bet you dollars to donuts, they do not have a good safety rating....

If you hire a driver as opposed to a steering wheel holder you won't have that problem. I can tell you if you ever deducted (stole) one dollar from my check It would be the last time. You steal a dollar from me I'll steal 2 from you.
