I just started at C-1 and my roomate and I were waiting in line for the drug test. The nurse looked at his paper and saw a couple prescription medication that he was taking and asked if he had a note from the doctor for these. I know one was ambien and do not know the others. She was pretty serious when she asked. She said you need to go back home and get a note from the doctor because you can not drive on these medications. My roomate was from Knoxville Tn. over 6 hours away, he drove all the way here only to drive back the next day..Please if you are on any medication save yourself the trouble and check with your recruiter.

Yea, a couple of guys had the same problem when I was in C1 in Ft Worth. One was on an anti depressant and one "forgot" to mention he had a major heart attack a couple of yrs ago. Both got sent home fast. Please be honest and have all your T's crossed and your I's dotted or you'll get to go home too.

They do a 5 panel test for illicit drugs. Zolpidem tartrate (Ambien) is still a specific and expensive test used in hospitals for toxicology possibilities or autopsy purposes. Pointless to report it.

Vicodin and oxycontin used at prescription levels are synthetics and don't tend to appear in the opiates part of the test. There's a specific test for that as well if they need to know. That one CAN be iffy though if you're popping them like tic-tacs.

There's also at least 5 different tests for the 7 or so benzodiazepenes (Xanax, valium, Restoril, Ativan, Clonopin, oxazepam... one other I don't remember offhand). Anyway, if they test for one it's almost always Valium which also has the longest half-life by far. Could get caught for 30 days on that one.
