Funny how the KT engines tourqe was not much more than the ntc. Didn't mention how it carried that tourqe all the way through the rpm range. LOL CONGRATS grandpa. Yer kids need to get a different hobby ! LOL

While I understand the point you're making its virtually impossible to compare two trucks unless they are identical specs...every little thing makes a difference. When I started wrenching it was for a flatbed company with about 500 trucks, mainly Cummins. They bought 60 new W900's with 315 Cummins, 838CPL....the last few had 350 Cummins, 840CPL because they realized the error in their ways and was able to get order changed on about 12 of the 60. The only difference was 35HP and they performed completely different under similar conditions.

I don't know the exact specs of the other truck but it was grossing the same weights and driving in the same conditions. All the logging trucks back then were specced pretty much the same. RTLO 18 speeds and either 4.10 or 4.33 rears. It would be a fairly safe bet to say the 2 trucks would have been very close in the specs.
