I'm curious as to how they got your cellphone number. Is it on your truck somewhere?

    D.Tibbitt and FlaSwampRat Thank this.

I won't be critical of Moosetek13 I have been in that situation before. I once had a girl call me that said she was from my bank I could not recognize her voice. I only dealt with a small branch and really did not get calls that much to start with. I only really got calls about suspicious charges and a check or two that my signature did not look right. I always said have the branch manager call me, I NEVER EVER conducted business via phone, text or email while on the road unless I (ME ) made the call and dialed the number. Otherwise, send me a letter.

Dob and dl number is a good start to identity theft.

Doubtful any police officer would ever ask for that info over the phone.

Once they have driver's license number, if they are legit law enforcement they will see the date of birth in the database so it is not necessary to even ask for both pieces of info.

I'm just curious as to how they got your phone number? They would have called swift right? Then if necessary swift would have given them your info and asked you if you remember anything flying off your truck? Be careful bud, don't wanna see anyone get jammed up by a pos scammer.

    scottied67 and Moosetek13 Thank this.

Even if it is a scammer I'm not sure they could do much with my info.
I keep very little money in the bank, I have no credit cards or credit score because I stopped using them in my 20's. I have no property, not even a car. I am not even mentioned in the lease where I live.

I would think stealing my identity would be a waste of time.

    FlaSwampRat and D.Tibbitt Thank this.
