i should also point out a couple of other scams, that target many people of ages and nationalities, and that is that the people at Social Security NEVER call you, you have to call them.!
and also any public utility will not call unless you are behind in a payment, and even then, it is a recorded message you get. so they never ask you for your information.

Another option would be to have the officer provide you with their main office number to call him back confirming the call is 100% legit.

Agreed! Identity theft is almost at epidemic levels now. Not just coming from people in the states. It is coming from other countries eastern and western Europe. It is a FACT almost every person soon will either be a victim or will know somebody that has been. I know a lady that is living on a fixed income that had her small savings wiped out back in the spring.buddyd157 and FlaSwampRat Thank this.
