Schneider has some stuff like this here in Houston at the rail heads and also out of the port of Houston. The big complaint I've heard though is that b/c of the number of trucks and containers involved you can often find yourself sitting in "hurry up and wait" mode for hours at a time. I've talked to people who do this and a lot of them are like, "Yeah, bring a book b/c it's impossible to sleep in those day cabs". How much would you say you find yourself sitting?

We get one load a day from the GP dc here. They load up a rail container and we each take one out. I know the intermodal guys actually up in Harrisburg might to have to wait at the rail yards or at a customer. Since were a weird team we never have to wait. We’re assigned a load the day before or whatever and we just pick that up and go.

    MYSTYKRACER Thanks this.

Wow! I remember when us guys out of Morrisville used to do pickups and deliveries out of GP when they were in Quakertown, PA.
assigned a load the day before or whatever and we just pick that up and go.

Well I believe Harrisburg is one of the busiest and good paying Intermodal ramps in the system. I started with JB 3 1/2 years ago out of Morrisville, PA(PHL). There were times that H-rail would be backed up, they had go out there to help out.
