Thanks Opus: I just need to get thru the next few days and out of this situation: it’s terribly depressing. I went to work at my Walmart dedicated site yesterday as usual: enjoying my route and routine and got back to the DC and “WHAM!” Smacked right in the gut with this! I just gotta get thru the next couple days here at the Terminal to tie up loose ends, then, hopefully, on my way to a new position somewhere... I appreciate all the support from you guys: I so need it.

This caught me by surprise. Celadon has been fighting pretty hard the last 2 years and just renegotiated their loans 3 weeks ago which should have held them over until February. They always seemed just on the cusp of turning it around...

If they can reorganize out from under those crippling loans they could have an even better shot at long term success so hopefully getting the fuel cards back on means they plan on continuing operations.

Good luck to all the Celadon drivers & employees affected.

Our private equity funding partner pulled out Thursday afternoon: that’s what caused the breakdown of our operations..

Sounds like they got tired of giving money out with little or nothing in return and decided to cut their losses. Sometimes financial backers will say enough is enough.

Any Celadon drivers stuck in Western NY, Western PA or Eastern OH, message me here. I'll try to get you and your gear as close to home as I can. Maybe do a relay with other drivers if necessary.
