Need advice on good company to get my cdl through as I can’t get assistance for the schools around here. I live in ohio minutes from Kentucky and West Virginia. Would like a company I can be home every weekend or every two weeks. Have been thinking about tmc, maverick. Would like to do flatbed or tanker. Can pass hair follicle test and already have my CLP and medical card.
Recommendation for company cdl training

Thomas E. Keller Trucking in Defiance, Ohio has a good reputation.
Pays for cdl school at TrainCo in Perrysburg, Ohio.
They use Conestoga trailers and also dry van and refrigerated.

Other that this, Maverick or TMC or McElroy has what you want.

Thank you for the reply. I will look into Thomas E. Keller. I originally tried to go with McElroy but said they don’t hire south of Hamilton Oh.
Do you have any an recommendations on dry van companies? -
Dry van:
Millis Transfer - trains in Hamilton, Ohio - www.millistransfer.com
CFI - www.cfidrive.com - trains in Joplin, MO
Wilson Logistics - www.wilsonlogistics.com - trains in Springfield, MO or Missoula, MT -
Chinatown beat me to it. Millis has great training and is right there in Hamilton/Trenton, OH. Only dry van but great pay while out with your trainer.
Chinatown Thanks this. -
I'm a noobie, consider that when weighing what I post. I'm in school at Millis in Cartersville, Georgia. Before deciding to come here, I read all the reviews that I could find and I watched every YouTube channel that I could find on several companies. I have not found anything negative about Millis Transfer.
Integrity is important. My recruiter, Peggi, wasn't just trying to fill a seat. She answered every question that I had honestly. If she didn't know, she told me that she didn't know but would find out, and did. Nothing she told me has turned out to be untrue.
This isn't my channel. It's a YouTuber/Truck Driver who makes calls to trucking companies to get their answers on questions that often, we, as potential drivers do not know to ask.

Also, call a few carriers you are interested in and ask them what schools they work with or what schools that they would suggest. Keep in mind most large companies offer full tuition reimbursement (usually over time on a monthly basis so long as you keep driving) which will make the loan payments to any school.
