I read someone's comment on Facebook that some truck stops charge $15 for a shower? That's ridiculous. I know if you get a certain amount of fuel, then you don't have to pay, but still. Let me guess, big name ones like T/A and Pilot? So glad I'm a local driver.

Can get it with fuel but the catch is the credit goes away after 4 days or so. So if u go home for a couple days u not gonna have any showers when coming back.

I always used free shower credits on my loyalty card. Even if you fueled up on your way home you should be down 50gal at the end of your first day out. I agree that $15 is pretty steep for a shower but I’ve never once had to pay for one.

It's affordable if you don't spend 80 dollars a day on drinks and snacks.

You have buy 60 gallons at TA/Petro for a shower credit. I think they are only good for 7 days, use them or lose them.

Love's will give you 2 free shower everyday for the month. If you buy 1,000 gallons a month. You can also get shower credit for buying 50 gallons. The unlimited showers is nice extra from Love's

I've got 7 free showers on my Pilot card at any given time. I've been known to let other drivers use them that can't afford to buy a shower, or buy them some food with my points. It's a tough world out there and we need to look out for one another.

I rarely pay for showers, and even have extra to give away when someone needs one. I still think it's worth it. It's not a motel room, and I'm not staying as long, but it still needs cleaning afterward and water and space. I appreciate those places that cater to us big rigs.

could it be that there is a $10.00 deposit for the towels?

and the shower actually costs only $5...

that's the "way it was" for me, many decades ago.

    Upinsmoke and FlaSwampRat Thank this.

I team with my husband. Went to shower at Sapp Brothers in Commerce City, Co and the manager wanted to charge us $30. $15/ a person and we were sharing a shower and brought our own towels. This was after she saw us eat at their restaurant, and wash clothes. My husband then said no thank you, we'll go to TA and shower. He was halfway back to the laundry area when she called him back and said she will give it to us for $15. (Normally we don't pay, but it was convenient to that day)
