I appreciate this forum. I really do. And you, and your staff. For example, the other day -

I changed gears from 3:70 to 3:55. My relatively knowledgeable mechanic (40 years old) changes ECM setting to adjust speedo.

More knowledgeable father (65) pulls out Amtek guage instructions. Neither works - where do I go? TTR.

@mtoo had provided information that potentially saved me hundreds, if not thousands, scratching around in the dark. Dipswitch setting info he had gleaned from Lord knows where, but it worked.

It's up to me to disseminate information. In regards to x1 - he's the one and only on my ignore list. Makes easier reading. Until I foolishly hit 'Show ignored content'. Then I see bad information passed to guys that know no better - and may actually need help.

Then I question the moderation. And I truly value the moderation - because without, this would be a trash filled cluster F to navigate.

Thus - I fly under the radar. I don't tell people what I'd like to tell them. I use language I'd use if I was face to face with them. And consult a dictionary if I have to. Because ultimately, this forum is worth a lot to me.

I just don't want to become a 'harvester'. A 'lurker'. One who takes and does not give back.

 

The pictures showing up on Facebook are pretty bad. By the looks of things cleanup will take a while.

It's funny how many times a Google search leads a guy right back here.
A while back I was trying to find a Cat engine flash code that wasn't listed anywhere. Google found @wore out explaining what the code was right in this forum.

I said that to a buddy the other day that isn't a member here - it's usually the top search result when you list some specifics. I just hate to see the great minds turned off/away from contribution.

 

I agree. Just think of the brains and talent that has been run off for one reason or another the last number of years.
I think everyone can agree some guys had it coming and some definitely did NOT!
